I was trying to find out information about the College of Souther Nevada and instead they sold my application to Devry and four other schools.  Here is where they got my information:

http://www.campusexplorer.com/programs/8942EBED/Nevada/Las-Vegas/College-of-Southern-Nevada/

Now I am benig hounded by these sales people trying to get me to take a student loan.  I don't want to be in debt, but they say I can make more money when I graduate.  I talked to CampusExplorer.com and they said that there is nothing that they can do.  And that there are more schools that are going to be calling me soon.  They won't take my name out the database. I want them to stop using my information to make money and just want to go to the local college.

What really makes me mad is devry who wont hellp me and keeps tryin to get me to talk to a financial aide person.  I am not ready to get in debt and they are blowing me up all the time.  watch out yall.

About Campus Explorer and fine print

Maybe college will teach you how to read the FINE PRINT.

It looks as if you got yourself an adventure just like the website advertises.  When filling out these forms it is important to read the small print.  There is no such thing as a free ride even if they try to entice you with FREE GRANTS or FINANCIAL AID.   Campus Explorer has the right to sell your information as many times as they want regardless what your intention was.  If you look them up you can see that they raised millions of dollars to do this so they must make a ton of money selling names.  While you probably didn't want to apply to all these schools they found you the perfect fit as suggested below, and knew that you would want information and phone calls from all these schools.  Who knows, you might be convinced to go to the University of Phoenix instead of a community college.  Why spend a few dollars on an education when the government will pay the sum, or the tax payers that is.  congratulations to Campus Explorer who got rich off your wanting to go to school.  Maybe college will teach you how to read the FINE PRINT.

At least you're not actually attending DeVry

The sales calls from those so-called "admissions representatives" (translation: snake oil salesmen) are annoying indeed. Just ignore them & keep your college search on the non-profit/public side. In fact, if any other "college" calls you with a sales pitch, you'll know to automatically avoid them. Count yourself lucky that you didn't actually fall for one of those sales calls, & watch this documentary before picking out a school that fits you:

Best of luck on your college search!
