I was in Texas at the time. It was April 2007; DeVry advertised on television that they had a Video Game and Technology Degree available. I called and asked for that specific course.

I met with the representative and took a placement test. I paid for an application fee. Then, they decided to tell me that they did NOT have the facilities for that specific course. The representative also told me that my test scores were low and they suggested that I go into Business Management Online. I said, "Well, if you think that would be a good course for me to go into."

I did not know that their instructors would be so unacceptable. Out of four instructors, two were acceptable. This means they were attentive, understanding and knowledgeable about the course.

I sent an email to the instructor, asking her to clarify some things about Wal-Mart, to get a better understanding of the curriculum, instead she was more worried about the way I was greeting her and did not answer any of my questions. The instructor sent me the email back commenting on my greeting abilities. She did not comment on any of my questions at all. When I sent this email to the Dean, she took the instructors side, but also agreed that the questions should have been answered. She then suggested to me that I call the instructor, so I did several times, only she did not answer. So, I left a message. I did not receive a call back. I finally dropped DeVry, because I think they are leeches, except they don't take blood, they take your money.

This is the email that I sent and the instructor's reply:

You know if it is bad why isn't it illegal?
Can you explain why they are getting away with this?

Greetings Samantha - please review your e-mail below.

Note that there is no signature or greeting which are both required if you are sending e-mail. This needs to be posted in the discussion area, not sent as an e-mail.
Please post in the site so I can provide credit for the posting.

Also, if you would put BUSN 115 in the subject line that will help me know what class you are in. Thanks for your help with this.

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
