The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer services says there appears to be more than $98,000 from the rescue’s bank account used for “personal expenses.”
The state found 960 debit transactions, including $34,050.99 on food and restaurant expenses; purchases at Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond and Bath and Body Works; $10,097.74 to pay off a personal credit card; $6,876.83 for car payments and $4,705.40 on insurance premiums.
The State of Florida says there was also a $30,000 loan from the rescue to buy a BMW registered to its president and almost $100,000 used for personal expenses.
The state’s proposed settlement – that the group pay a $10,000 fine and relinquish its charitable registration.

Sandra Dezelan proclaims she is a rescue. She is a hoarder, but covers it up well. She fits right in with Death Row Dog Rescue. All of South FLorida knows what a scam she is. Sandra stop with your lies. And stop hoarding all the dogs for yourself. No wonder your husband left you. Go take a shower. You smell.

Unfortunately, this report was written by Bedazzled just another fake name of Darcy Ode Butkus. Let me tell you about her. First off all everything written here was NOT about our rescue it was about 100 Plus AbandonedDog Rescue. Just google it. They were under investigation by the FL Dept of Agriculture for EXACTLY what was written in this report about us. Luckily, THEIR investigation has been completed and they were vindicated. Now back to the person that wrote this about us , "Bedazzled" yes she is . Bedazzled is no other than Darcy Ode Butkus. Who we Presently have an active civil suit against in Palm Bch County FL. Let me tell you who she is : She is an individual that tortures dog rescues. Sounds crazy right? She was sued by one a few years ago , our organization presently have a civil suit filed in Palm Bch County against her and numerous other local rescues also are suing her. I had come across her several years back when she asked me to call into her internet radio station and write a report about the rescue that was suing her . She was very convincing and stupidity I did what she ask of me .
Fast forward she volunteered for our organization a few times, went to a few of our events ,etc She did indulge to me one April day back in 2015 that her family had her removed from her home by the Davie, FL police and taken to a local hospital where she was not permitted to leave. While in the hospital she said God came to her and told her to protect animals that couldn't speak for themselves. About a week after she told me that we had a small meeting about how to raise necessary funds for our rescue. Darcy attended . At that meeting in a public place she started chanting and pounding on the table. After that meeting I told her she could NOT be apart of our organization. From that moment to this day she has set out to destroy our rescue. She called Animal Care & Control and said we were torturing animals. She called code enforcement. She filed a report with the IRS . Fortunately, that ALL got her NO where. But, she takes precious time and money away from the animals in need.
We are NOT the only rescue that she continues to destroy. Just in the past few weeks 3 lawyers from other rescues contacted me about her for one thing or another. But, as for this report it is NOT myself Sandra Dezelan and Dezzys Second Chance . Every word written here is about 100 Plus Dog Rescue of the Everglades. Just Go Google it. I can not understand how Ripoff Report can permitted someone to post anything they want that is NOT true. It takes a few seconds to GOOGLE was I am saying and find out the truth.

The allegation that Dezzy's Second Chance Animal Rescue misappropriated funds is completely false. These allegations were made against another animal rescue here in South Florida, NOT Dezzy's Second Chance Rescue.
I am a long time volunteer to Dezzy's and if you would have done your research BEFORE reporting this accusation you would see there is NO investigation whatsoever against Dezzy's.
Please please please research this and remove it once it is verified. This rescue has done so much work not just for the animals but making sure its reputation is clean.
