DFW Pool Services Unprofessional and Dishonest Grapevine, Texas
Kyle, with DFW Pool Services has proven himself and his business to be unprofessional, dishonest and lacking integrity.
Kyle was sent to my house by our home warranty company to fix a part on my pool filter. At that time he and I talked about him doing another small job for me and I paid him $50 cash up front to get it done. I also decided at that time to use him to do my pool maintenance at a cost of $110/month.
I used my PayPal account for the monthly debit for his services. Unfortunately, the first time he tried to debit, I didn't have enough money in the account. The next time I saw him, I apologized and told him he could draft again since I had transferred some money into the account.
He fixed the warranty problem quickly and even spent some time cleaning and adding chemicals to my pool. I thought we were off to a good start.
Unfortunately, as weeks went on, my pool kept getting cloudier and the small job I had paid him for hadn't been completed.
I left him a few messages and texts since he very rarely answered his phone. He would usually text me back and say that he would be over the next day, which usually didn't happen.
Once my pool was green, I left him a message and said he needed to get over there that day. He said he thought one of his helpers was coming by weekly but they had lied to him. I believed him and decided to give him a break as long as he would make sure my pool was taken care of from this point on.
I asked again about the small job I had already paid him on and he told me that the next step was for me to contact the warranty company and they would most likely replace the part in question. When I contacted them they said they hadn't heard from him at all and had no idea what I was talking about.
In the mean time, I hadn't seen Kyle back to clean my pool and after several attempts to contact him i sent him a text saying to forget about coming back that i would handle cleaning my own pool.
From start to finish, over 2 1/2 months had gone by. Last week he debited my account for the first invoice from back in May. I asked him to put the money back in the account and he said i owed it to him from the first month.
I told him that based on me giving him money for a job he never did and then the fact that my pool was green by the end of the first month, that he just needed to refund the money and we should both go our separate ways.
I have given him 3 days to respond and make this right and he seems to have decided to ignore my requests.
In my opinion, Kyle has no business running a business! If a customer isn't happy with your service and has given you chance after chance to redeem yourself, and then they fire you, you don't charge them over 30 days later for an invoice from over 2 months ago.
Below is my email communication with Kyle, in which I never got a response back.
