I recently bought a bottle of Coty Musk oil on ebay from dhmedical through ebay. I ordered, paid (using PayPal) and all was confirmed on Thur Aug. 30, '07. I received my order on Tues Sept 4, '07. Considering this was over a 3 day weekend (Labor day) I was incredibly impressed with dhmedical on how quickly I received this item - this is definitely not why I am unhappy with dhmedical - I was extremely impressed with their service at this point.

When I received the item it did not faze me one that the manufactures box it was in was slightly crushed - I assume that it was so because it was sent in a cushioned envelope that was jostled around some during the shipping process. I did notice that a small piece of plastic that is normally covering a "window" on the product box was missing (still didn't faze me that it was an issue). I removed it from the product's box (a shaped-to-fit piece of plastic that was placed inside of the manufactures product box). So basically, other than that missing piece of plastic, all seemed 'normal'.

Now please note that I have been using this product for 40yrs and, until the past few years, have always been able to purchase it at any retail store. It is far from expensive. But it is my favorite. Each bottle of oil has lasted me several years and has kept it's very distinct smell for that duration of time. When I put it on, it continues to carry its scent until I wash it off - it does not ware off. I will occasionally put this oil through my hair and, as I said, its scent will remain until I wash it out of my hair (every few days). So needles to say, a person does not need to use much of this oil to get its effects. It is rather strong.

So I open this bottle of musk oil that I had received from dhmedical and I immediately notice that it smells like baby oil. No hint of musk. I have everyone around smell it. They all agree - baby oil. I decide that maybe we are all having nose issues and decide to give it a try. Nothing. Baby oil. I try it again. Baby oil.

I did not contact dhmedical. Rather than get into some pain-in-the-butt dispute with a company over an item that was not that expensive (and most likely would end up costing me more to exchange than it is worth) I decided to let future customers know what this company did to me. I decided to make a comment about it in 'Feedback' on their site on ebay. I stated "Was not true musk oil - smelled like babyoil (musk oil doesn't get old)".

After submitting a negative comment on their 'Feedback', I was immediately notified by ebay that dhmedical had notified them, stating I had not paid for the product that they had sent me. Seriously. Between my checking acct and Paypal, I could get all the proof I needed to show that was not true. How hard was that to see.

DH medical then a comment on my 'Feedback' that I did not communicate with them and should be avoided by other potential sellers. They were correct. I did not communicate. Irregardless whether I had communicated with them or not - if I had gotten an exchange or my money back - it should still be noted that the product I had ordered and paid for was not the product I received. It had obviously been replaced with a different product.

Coty Musk Oil is no longer made. The only place, so far, that I have found it is online. I found this particular one at dhmedical on ebay. I've never purchased anything on ebay before. Ever. But I needed my fix, so I went ahead and, using PayPal, I made this purchase. I then proceed to get riped off.

I am tired of the scams. I am tired of the lies. I am tired of shelling out my money to cons. Yes, their site on ebay has thousands of wonderful remarks from so many happy customers, but just how many of those are legitimate?

Well just listen to me - I've now become a skeptic. Thanks DH Medical.

On November 21, 2007, I ended this auction with Buy it Now and paid immediately. On 11/27 I asked seller if item had shipped they said yes. On 12/6 I contacted seller that item still not received. They emailed on 12/7 and said item was returned destroyed and that they would refund the full amount plus an additional 15.00. This is Tuesday, 12/11, no refund and seller will not return emails or phone calls.

I held up my end of the transacion and paid immediately, they are failing in their customer even though they state "Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you have a problem with a transaction, just let us know and we will work with you to resolve the issue. You can open a dispute or call us at 1-800-782-2291. We will make every effort to respond to all customer service inquiries within 2 business days." Ha, it's a lie.

I ordered a sun lamp from DH Medical online. It arrived in good time but the light bulbs inside were all broken.
I called them and they said they would send me some replacement bulbs. This was in September. It is now December and I haven't seen any bulbs at all.
I have called them repeatedly with no satisfaction. After a few phone calls, they said the bulbs had been sent and must be stuck in customs.
I called a few weeks later as I still didn't receive any bulbs. I asked for a tracking number and was put on hold and then was hung up on!
This company is a complete ripoff.

Apparently, these people don't feel this item is a "fake". We have had numerous responses telling us they were not able to find this item in years. We have over 7000 positive responses (99.7%) on our ebay site. I guess you can't please everyone.

As the customer stated, she purchased an item from us on Ebay that she was not satisfied with. The item was 100 % authentic as are all of our items. Regardless, the customer was unhappy. If the customer had contacted us, we could have opened up a dialog to see what we could do to help her. We would have gladly refunded the buyer and both of us would have been satisfied. The customer instead felt the need to go out of the way to slam our company publicly all over the internet without merit.

We have been in business for over 30 years. With the internet, people tend to feel like they are being scammed if a transaction does not go exactly as they planned. Sellers like us are hardworking, legitimate people. We have a full retail store in Brooklyn, NY that people can come in and see many of the same products we sell online.

We hope in the future that this customer can be more open to discussion instead of making a snap judgment and publicly slandering our company on the internet.
