This company built our house and had to come back to put perimeter tiling on the north side of our house when we got water in our finished basement soon after we moved. They did NOT but it all the way around the house we've now discovered.
Now, our basement got wet again in the utility room where there should be a drain in the floor and there isn't. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from and then we discovered that the water was coming up from the water softner when it was draining. We cut a hole in the floor and discovered that there is NO tile there, only lots of pea gravel. We dug gravel out so that the water could go down but that is not the correct way to do this.
We had another builder over to look at the situation and he said that it was not built correctly as there should always be a tile for the water to drain into and get it away from the house.
