My son recieved a post card with a number to say it was "last notice, please call".

He called and someone sweet talked him into buying some magazines. He recieved a bill the next week for $1,200 worth of magazines. He called Reader's Service, out east, and cancelled the magazines. No problem.
Diamond called and told him "You cannot cancel, we already placed the order with the publisher".

This a young man who suffered a traumatic brain injury and works a minimum wage job cleaning toilets at a gas station. He cannot afford these magazines.

After many rude exchages with customer service, (they hung up)I was able to get hold of someone who said if I could send them proof of mental incapacity they would review the situation. At this point I have not heard back from them. Will update later.

Update; The amount they were charging for these magazines was over $1,400.00 over 36 months. They stated they COULD NOT cancel because they already prepaid the publishers for these magazines.
I was able to get medical proof of my sons mental disability and they said they would cancel but it would cost us $202.00.
I asked if they were connected with Readers Services in Washington, PA and they said "No". I don't have any idea where the order came from for the Readers Services magazines. But they(Readers Services) were able to cancel their order ,no fee, no problem.
Also, Readers Services said they were not connected with Diamond Enterprises.
I emailed a complaint to the Attorney General of California today. Next will be the FTC and the Indiana AG.
