While on a Carnival cruise in the Carebbean at the stop in Belize we visited the Diamond international Jewelry and watch store. We ended up purchasing two Breitling watches after being served many strong rum drinks by a store clerk. We were told the watches were sustancialy under US prices and duty free, neither of which were true. We charged them to our credit cards, $9,500. They would not let us leave the store with them but delivered them to our cabin 5 hours after leaving the Belize port. The next day we tried to return them to a diamond International representative on board the ship, but was told they could not be returned because they were now USED Watches, and the Breitling  factory would not allow returns (not true). That person when ask about  duty payment told us not to pay and just wear them thru customs, nobody will catch you, isn"t that great advise? The day we arrived back in the US we shipped them to Diamond Int. in New York where they were accepted.  Approximately a week later they were shipped to the Staples shipping point in Orando Florida. We live in Montana and California which addresses were on the sales agreement which  we were not given the opportunity to review.

 Carnival Cruise line customer service, who recomended Diamond Int. in the first place backed them up 100% and basically said, too bad, we can't help you. We have a conditional reversal of the charge by Citi Bank credit card, which may or may not help.Both Carnival and Diamond Int. completly depend on first time customer who is gone tomorrow.
