Diamonte Resorts Fraudulent claims and promises Peyton Colorado
We were in Cabo for vacation and attended the Diamonte golf resort presentation. We did not intend to purchase, but several times they showed us the GDS website which they were selling access to for $1450. They promised 30-40% savings on accomodations. Based on those representations, we purchased and were told that access would be provided in 2 weeks. (the cancelation period was 5 days) I believe they purposely withhold access till after the 5 day period so you cannot verify claims and cancel. Once i recieved access, signed on to the GDS website and (since we are going to japan in several weeks) did some test comparisons of GDS cost compared to other web sites. I use Trivago to search for the same hotels for the same days. I compared: Hotel Granvia Kyoto (GDS 145/175 Other 119), Ramble Kyokomachi (98/116 115), Ritz carlton (1796/2216 1770), and Alza Kyoto (285/313 327). For each of the 4 hotels the other online prices were lower.
The entire reason to purchase access to GDS was to access far lower pricing. However, that seems not to be the case. Citing the above comparisons, I believe that the representations made to us by GDS representatives were fraudulent and misleading. I requested immediate refund of our membership fee. To date they have stonewalled. claiming "expenses" for marketing.
