I purchased a vehicle from d**k Smith on March 14th. I was approved for the loan the same night I purchased the car, or so I thought, through finance manager Jamie Hickey.

After having the car for a month, Jamie contacted me saying that I would have to bring the car back because the financing fell through. He told me he lied about my income in order to get me into the car. He said I would either have to show proof of income or get a coincome not cosigner on the loan, or I would have to return the car.

After speaking with the general manager, I found out that there is not such thing a person giving a coincome without being the cosigner. He also told me that Jamie misled me and he did not know why Jamie would lie about my income.

I looked through my contract thoroughly and did not see anything about having to return the car because of financing or anything along those terms. I spoke with the general manager again and he said that it was written in the bill of sale, which I did not have a copy of, only he had the copy.

I obtained a lawyer for legal advice, and he said that if it were in the contract then I could be held liable, but since it was not in the contract, I had nothing to worry about.

Jamie Hickey, the finance manager, proceeds to call me at my job, threatening to send the police department to my job to "embarass" me if I did not return "his car."
I would advise that no one buy or attempt to buy a car from d**k Smith Automotive. They are very crooked businessman who will do anything at the consumer's expense in order to gain commision.

How can a person have a car with insurance, paperwork that shows interest rates, monthly payments and all, and then have to bring the car back after a month because the finance manager made a mistake?
