Difeo Nissan, Service Dept has deceptive business practices. They charged me 401.13 to clean my fuel injector. I said clean, not replace. The Service rep said he could not quote me a price until he could look at the car. Difeo charges 135.00 non-refundable charge for hooking up the computer. So if I decided not to have the service I would loss the 135.00

They had me by the balls. It was Friday and I needed the car.

I got to the Service Dept. and found out that there was only 52.40 in parts ,327.50 in labor
and tax 21.23. I wanted to speak to a manager
but it was 5:30 and they had left for the day.

Called the service manager Jeff Jamison, and who didn't help at all. He tranfers me to John Veli. Service Rep. this guy had the personality of a wet noodle.
Anyway called All Brand Nissan and Hackensack Nissan they both quoted for the same work was 267.00 for the same work. Difeo rob me.

At all cost avoid Hudson Nissan aka Difeo Nissan 599 route 440

Why are you still going back? You obviously don't trust the people at that dealership, so why do you continue to take your vehicle to them?

Looking at a yellow page listing for "Nissan" in your area, I show 12 different Nissan dealers/repair shops within 10 miles.

Solution to Nissan Altima

#9Consumer Comment

Wed, June 22, 2005

The problem of 2500 RPM is solved,

Due to a bad sensor the vechicle computer puts itself in Safe mode "limp mode" turning off the fuel injectors off exactly at 2500 RPM.. this is programmed into the computer to save the engine from damage. See details below
The root cause of the problem was a bad sensor.
Found this out from a reputable FireStone Manager.

Hudson Nissan concealed this fact from me try to milk as much money out of me as possible. They are crooks, the made up a BS story about a UNIFIED MOTOR 600.00 dollars.. So what the dealer did to get around this problem was to reset the computer code therefore disabling the fail safe mode.. they (Hudson Nissan) did this twice. They knew exactly what the problem was.

follow link for Nissan computer detail s
http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troubleshooting/a/aa031101a.htm

In the case of a sensor malfunction, the computer may go into a "fail safe" or "limp in" mode. For example, the Crank Angle Sensor dies and no longer sends a signal to the computer. The computer sees the signal is missing and notes the malfunction code and turns on the check engine light. Now lacking that CAS, signal it goes to the base values stored in the computer and uses that value to control the ignition timing. It's not perfect, but it doesn't leave you stranded on the side of the road. Quite often the computer limits engine RPM to about 2500 RPM to prevent any possible engine damage and further alert the driver to a problem.

My suggestion to you avoid HUDSON NISSAN at all cost.

It would have been the same price at the other dealership too.

The other dealer would have run the diagnostic too($135), plus the $267 for the service. The only reason they didn't quote the diagnostic was because it had already been done by the first dealership.
