Is Simplx a rip off? That I cant answer but they are a difficult company to do business with, my relationship only lasted seven days before I realized I was being taken for a ride. The sales pitch was pretty good; I asked questions, did some research and emailed the sale person with more questions which went unanswered. None the less I signed up.

Within hours of signing up my home phone was ringing with a message from Simplx trying to set up training (Friday). I called on Monday to get it set up and was told there was no training to available that meet my needs for that week. I explained to the support person that I was un aware that training had to be completed prior to gaining access, his reply I be leave it states that in the agreement you signed in fact the documentation states Your trainer has you password and user id. I continued to explain the sales person that I am on the west coast and work full time; I have to do the training before or after hours.

I continued to explain to this person that I was not stupid, I can point and click with the best of them in fact I host my own web service, build my own web sites, use both html and Pearl and have an ecommerce site ready for data. I was simply trying to show this person I am no idiot. I was still unable to gain access that I had paid for.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I used the support email to document my attempts to get the so called training. After the same Nothing is available at this time, well see what opens up further in the week response from David who more than likely sits in his living room biased of his email address (david.simplicity@gmail.com on behalf of Simplex support).

Friday I had had it. Called Heather VP of client services and requested my account be closed and a FULL refund. She closed the account but referred me to Jonathan George for the refund. After 4 voice mails I finally got through. Explained my displeasure with my experience and lack of willingness to fulfill their obligation and requested the refund.

After a little back and forth chat he agreed to an 84% refund what is the other 16% for? He states We set up your account, so you keep my $100 (rounder up) because they paid some part time collage kid minimum wage to type in maybe 30 key strokes and thats worth a hundred bucks? I dont think so. I was at work so had to give up for the time being and expect the 84% refund but I am not done yet

Simplex is a difficult company with many complaints I will be #55 http://www.saltlakecity.bbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=22000662
Do your home work before giving them anything.
