I got this e-seller, DIGITALNERDS, from the Internet (http://www.thedigitalnerds.com/). The site claimed to be selling digital cams and similar electonic goods.

I ordered a $250 worth digcam by creating an account and specifying my debit card details. Once I pressed the "Checkout" button to submit order, the site kicked me out and never again could I log in to my account. There was an option to retrieve lost password. I tried it but it didnt send me any mails even though they claimed to send one. It felt odd that I didnt receive mail/confirmation about the order which I purchased.

I searched their site to fetch customer care mail address and to my surprise no mail address, or physical address could be found. It showed a dial in number (800-958-0054) for customer care. I dialed the number and it was attended by a male voice, and felt very rude. He told that the system is held up and simply disconnected. I tried four times and everytime he just uttered the same. I felt suspecious as a customer representative can never be such rude. I searched the net for details about this company and found multiple complaints posted by various customers, who got cheated in similar ways.

This company could be using the debit card details for theft/misuse. Or else they will be trading the debit card details to other frauds. In the latter case, it may not prevent theft even if we call debit card customer care and mention about this merchant. Because money withdrawal would be done by soembody else, which is not easy for the bank to monitor. Hence I immediately called my debit card customer care and disabled the card.

Please dont get cheated by this internet frauds and forward any details about them. It will help to take legal action against this person/group.
