DIR Spa Furniture and PURESPADIRECT.COM diresalonfurniture.com purespadirect.com The Company and a Reseller, THEY ALSO RE-SELL ON AMAZON AND E-BAY AND OTHER SITES Brooklyn Internet

I originally bought a desk for my new Medical Cosmetic Centre and Aesthetic Centre on Amazon from a company called DIR, I was UNAWARE they were the actual company and not a re-seller-my purchase was made on Amazon.

A Chinese man from Brooklyn called me after about 3 weeks plus to tell me the cargo truck it was due to be delivered on caught fire and was "a total loss" but have no fear they were insured and would re-send it out immediately. I gave the benefit of the doubt, waited and now my build out was done so I had to actually have separate handymen on call to lift in the 250+ pound desk, well last minute my handyman was in an accident and called to tell me he was in the hospital, I had to rush to meet the guy delivering it and stand there until I got a back up handyman, -but the delivery guy was very nice and said--"HEY I WILL HELP PUSH IT IN" it was "curb side delivery". Well he started to lift it off the wooden palate and with three fingers it lifted like air. I looked at him and said, wait--do you have a box cutter or scissors, this is supposed to need two men and be over 250lbs you just lifted that with fingers like it was air". He looked on the front of the box and it was labelled correctly, shrink wrapped, banded etc, so he agreed it was NOT 250lbs and he agreed to open it, THE BOX WAS 100% EMPTY. I called the Chinese man in Brooklyn and was told "OH I AM SO SORRY, NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED TO US, NOTHING, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY" I told him I had to call Amazon because between a BURNT DOWN CARGO truck and now this it was a bit suspicious, he said he understood and would call me the next day to arrange to deliver a new one at no charge until arrival, HE NEVER CALLED. Luckily Amazon gave me my money back.

Then I searched again, the same manufacturer sold some desks on PURESPADIRECT, I placed an order with them for this product and some "paper" disposable towels. I waited and waited and waited and never got a tracking number. I called and was told "OUR RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM DOES NOT WANT TO SEND THIS WITH CREDIT CARD PAYMENT BECAUSE OF THE 'AMOUNT' (A MERE 1300 DOLLARS) AND THE FACT YOUR BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESS IS DIFFERENT AND THIS IS YOUR FIRST ORDER" (not at all uncommon for a business-also this was a lie).

I stupidly agreed to send them a wire transfer. I sent it and told them due to the fact I had to chase them to even find that much out I expected this to be expedited as it was now holding up my opening. They agreed to expedite it BUT rather than do that they called me SEVERAL days later and said that they needed an additional $480 for insuring the product--I TOLD THEM THEY HAD TO EAT THAT AND SHOULD HAVE KNOWN AND THIS WAS LONG OVERDUE-they finally agreed to. A DAY before what I anticipated would be our grand opening the merchandise finally arrived, my Spa Director called me and said, "I DO NOT WANT TO MAKE YOUR DAY ANY WORSE, (I WAS DEALING WITH ALL THE LAST MINUTE ISSUES) BUT THE DESK IS COMPLETELY SHATTERED, IT IS IN PIECES".

I called them screaming and yelling and they started talking to me about "protocol etc" and I said NO I WANT MY MONEY WIRED BACK NOW AND I WANT YOU TO PICK UP YOUR DEBRIS FROM MY BUSINESS. They seemingly agreed, though I have yet to receive the wire. In the interim I called the UK headquarters at 3am my time thinking they would be interested to know what kind of scam artists are selling their goods. The man in the Birmingham location, a relative no doubt, was as rude as can be. The gentleman in London explained to me as far as he knew only the sister of the owner was in charge of US sales and yes she, like PureSpa and the "vendor" on Amazon, was in Brooklyn, the man in London was quite nice actually and was going to discuss it with the owner. He also gave me the "corporate" number in USA where the owner's sister allegedly was in charge of things.

I promptly called the next morning and lo and behold, THE CHINESE MAN WHO SOLD IT TO ME ON AMAZON ANSWERED THE PHONE. NOT only did he answer the phone but when I asked what kind of scam they were running he told me that the reason he never called me was because of the review I gave him on Amazon and HE ADVISED TARA AND CHRISTINA FROM PURESPADIRECT TO NOT TAKE A CC FROM ME BECAUSE I WAS SUSPICIOUS. Needless to say, I told him off and told him I would, and I have, be contacting the police as well as IC3 and Amazon to have him removed as a seller. IF I receive my money from PureSpaDirect then perhaps they were just victims too, but in all honesty, they never told me it was HIM not their "risk assessment" team who wanted a wire transfer, and further they handled everything unprofessionally with me having to chase them on every step of this disaster. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND doing business with them and DEFINITELY do not buy anything made by DIR Spa Furniture.

A side note, I wrote my REVIEW of them on Amazon AFTER he never called me back. JUST STAY CLEAR OF THEM ALL. It is a big scam and even if PureSpaDirect.com was somewhat just an innocent re-seller, they lied and never told me they were talking with this man, they knew my story as I told them why I wanted this desk and what happened to me (these desks look very nice actually, are reasonably priced and are not "square and boxy and ugly office looking") That said www.purespadirect.com did not act in good faith either. They should have told me from the start what the real reason they wanted a wire transfer was and the chain of events that occured from ordering to receiving the pile of debris the day before my opening, thereby delaying it, was not at all acceptable.

We apologize for all of the frustration Alexis has encountered in her order with Pure Spa Direct.

As a wholesale salon and spa supplier, we only sell to licensed profesionals and businesses. In verifying the order placed by Alexis DeVries on August 22, 2015, we were unable to link the billing address listed for the credit card payment to the client or her business. The business did not yet have a working website, and only had a Facebook page with very little information listed. As the billing address did not match the shipping address, we did not feel comfortable accepting a credit card payment from this client - if a chargeback is filed, merchants usually lose if the order did not ship to the billing address. Due to this, we requested payment via wire transfer, which the client provided.

We are a reseller of spa and salon furniture and equipment. Pure Spa Direct has spent the last decade building a vast network of reliable vendors whom we work with on a daily basis. We do not reveal our vendor information to our clients, which is why we did not inform the client that we spoke to the same vendor she had dealt with earlier. Additionally, Alexis herself told us her story prior to our vendor giving us his side of the previous occurrence. We had no obligation to inform her of who our vendor is, or what information we were provided. The title of this report mentions that we resell on Amaon and eBay. Pure Spa Direct only sells to professionals via our website, and we do not sell any products on Amazon, eBay, or through any other third-party sales channels. The company she previously ordered from may sell through these sales channels, but we are unaware of their sales operations.

The client accepted the shipment on 9/10/15 and contacted us immediately regarding the damage, providing photos as requested. The shipment traveled via freight from NY to Las Vegas, and appeared to have been damaged in shipping. We immediately reported the damage to the freight company, provided photos submitted by the client, and had the freight company collect the goods. Client was refunded (in full, plus the wire transfer fee she paid initially) via wire transfer, on 9/11/15.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience Alexis encountered with her order, however, we handled her order according to our company policies, and honored her every request. This report is obviously coming from an emotional place, but we satisfactorily resolved her concerns, within a reasonable amount of time.
