I received a letter for working at home to insert circulars into envelopes and get paid $2 per envelope. The letter stated all starting materials and instructions provided. As stated in the circular "As a show of good faith and to show us that you are serious about inserting circulars for our company, we're going to request that you send us a REIMBURSABLE DEPOSIT of $40.00 plus $6.00 shipping and handling & set-up fee for a total of $46.00. This is a one-time fee and will be returned to you as soon as you send us your first 250 processed envelopes. At that time we'll have paid you a total amount of $500.00 covering payment of 250 inserted envelopes at $2.00 each, plus a reimbursement of $40.00 for your deposit."

After sending in good faith my check for $46.00 dollars I received in the mail A Directory and sourcebook for the home employer for Arts and Crafts. Also in this large envelope was instructions on sending our flyers to others - having to have more printed and distributing them all over to get others to to want more people to work from home.

This is not at all what I was told and is fraud. Just wondering if anything can be done and if my money can be refunded to me. I feel like this is a big rip off and want others not to fall into the same trap I did. We need a class action lawyer to help us - lets reclaim not only our money back but stop this from happening to others and see that the people doing this are put away.
