Direct Diet Pills ripoff bad unprofessional despicable business practices Casselberry Florida
I attempted to order prescription pills from Direct Diet Pills.com. I did not enter the correct Dr.'s info. (My fault, I admit.) When I received an e-mail from DDP, they informed me that they needed the correct info, or would be sending me non-prescription "replacement" pills.
I had 48 hrs. to respond to that e-mail. Within 8 hours, I responded, stating that I did not want the replacement pills...Still costing 107.99, why would I want non-prescription for the same price as prescription? I e-mailed DDP several times, stating I wanted my order cancelled, minus the non-refundable 9.99.
I did not hear back from them. After one week, I received a withdrawl from DDP on my checking account for 107.99. This was the charge for the non-prescription replacement pills that I did not agree to.
I was never informed of the brand, or what the pills would be, and do not want to spend that amount of money on a product to which I am blind. This was also stated in several e-mails.
I did not agree to any non-prescription replacement pills, and would not have chosen to spend the same amount I would have spent on prescription pills.
I attempted to call DDP several days in a row, always being placed in queue with choppy music and an occasional, "Your call is important to us, please hold," My call was picked up on two different occasions and immediately disconnected. That was extremely frustrating. I then began e-mailing the company, telling them to cancel my order, respond to my e-mails, call me, give me some kind of response. I never heard from them. I continued to call every day for one week.
After being on hold for a total of three hours, and six phone calls, I finally got in contact with "Ginger", from whom I had received the original e-mail stating I had not given the complete Dr. info. She stated that there is an absolute no refund or return policy, which was not stated on the web-site. Only the non-refundable 9.99 fee was stated. When I asked why my e-mails were never responded to, she stated that all e-mails go directly to the technical, or sales staff. Once again I asked why my e-mails were never answered. She continued to tell me the sales staff receives all e-mails and does respond. "Ginger" was non-cooperative and would not let me speak to a supervisor.
At this point, I was extremely upset, and stated that their company was "a crock of (expletive)." I was hung up on, and had resigned myself to the fact that I got scammed, and would never use or recommend this company. A very expensive lesson for me to learn.
I checked my e-mail today, Aug. 2, 2006, and found SEVEN e-mails from DDP stating there was a problem wiht their server and my e-mails were not retrieved, therefore, could not be responded to in a timely fashion. I am under the impression that this is a ploy to con me into thinking that they are an honest company with some technical issues. I will not be duped in to believing this joke of a response. The e-mails I sent were on different days, spaced adequately enough that a company that does business effectively would not have their systems down for that period of time. This company is a RIP-OFF, and does not deserve to be in business.
