I tried to make a payment to Direct Merchant Bank on Saturday on the Internet like I usually do, and could not because they locked my account up. I tried to re-register and was given the same information.

They said it was for "my protection" and that all I would have to do was call 1-800-379-7999, which I did at 9:45pm pacific-coast time.

I was informed that since they implemented a new web site uprgrade that to access my account all I had to do was re-register my account information, or I could speak to a customer representative M-FRI from 7-12pm and S-SUN from 8-9pm eastern time.

Which would be fine except that my payment will now have an added over the limit fee (NOW $116 OVER) assesed to it as well as a late payment charge.

It wouldn't be over the limit except for the fact that they lowered my limit by $100 when I was two months late four months ago.

I wished I had inspected via the Internet their sordid background before I got entangled in their web of RIP-OFFS!
