Complaint Review: Direct Model Management

Direct Models is a modeling agency in New York City. The owners are  Mykola Webster and her boyfriend Atif Joseph.  He also happens to be the company accountant. My daughter was very excited to work for Direct, she felt she finally she made it. She was working for a big New York CIty agency. That was her first and last positive experience with Direct Models. Here is a summary: 

She was rarely given the opportunity to even go to castings . She was forced into an two year exclusive agreement with Direct. She was not allowed to work anywhere else. she was completely reliant on Direct Models as her only source of income. On top of the 20 percent agency fee. She had to pay excessive rental fees (2 times market value) to live in a small apartment with 6-8 other girls.  The jobs  she did get through Direct she was not paid until  90-180 days later and sometimes not at all. 

Dreams were shattered, promises never kept, money never paid. She wasted her life savings  paying for her model apartment and bogus agency fees. Direct Models takes advantage of young innocent girls. They scam models and also the clients they work for.
