Complaint Review: Direct One

I recently returned from a business trip only to find an invoice in my mail from a company called PaySystems. It seems that PaySystems is a company providing service to another company called Direct One. PaySystems has charged my checking account an amount of $61.02 to be paid to Direct One, for some type of long distance plan, that I never heard of or ordered. I called PaySystems.com and the person said they have been working with Direct One since October 2001. PaySystems must be aware of this problem due to the fact he was very eager to credit my account. When I asked for a number for Direct One he gave it to me. The number is 1 800 665 5276. This number will only get you to a person who either wants your credit card number or telephone number. When I gave ALL my telephone numbers, they have no record of me and stated that I have to call the office at 800 665 5276 option 2 Monday through Friday. I have no idea how they got my debit card number or who authorized this payment. I DID NOT! How many citizens have been a target of this SCAM!!! How many have no idea what to do? In any case, this deduction from my checking account could have caused a negative balance creating returned check fees. What can we do? Please help!!
