ABOUT THE RIPOFF REPORT BELOW:

Ripoff Report would like to let readers know that Ripoff Report emailed this customer so the member business could make things right with them. When a business joins the Corporate Advocacy Program, Ripoff Report emails everyone from the past so the member business can make things right with them. Of course, everything within reason. The author of the Ripoff Report below never responded to our offer to help them.

STATEMENT FROM DIRECT OUTBOUND SERVICES:

This review was made by a competitor and is false and defamatory. Public records show that the email address used is fake, and the review is not by a real consumer. Direct Outbound ships on behalf of clients worldwide, and unfortunately some customers will mistake us as the seller, however we are a fulfillment service for hundreds of brands worldwide. Ripoff Report confirmed, the review below is false.

NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

---------------------------------------------------------------------

John Monarch is the operator behind a weight loss scam called Berry Thin / TryBerryThin.com.  The scam works like this:

Step 1:   John Monarch hires affiliate marketers through an affiliate network that he owns called "Steal Media."  These affiliate marketers submit ads to Facebook that appear to look like a different product, and then once approved, switch the ads to banners that are against Facebook's advertising guidelines.   This process is called cloaking.

Step 2:   Consumers see an ad on Facebook advertising a new way to lose a lot of weight very quickly.

Step 3:   Consumers click on the ad and it takes them to a fake news website.  The fake news websites deceptively advertise consumer reports of extreme weight loss.  They claim, just like John Monarch's Berry Thin Website, that Berry Thin will help you lose weight, "slice belly fat," and "end calorie counting."

Furthermore the fake news sites that Berry Thin is sold through illegally uses videos of Doctor Oz.   John Monarch attempts to "cover his a*s(ets)" by placing the following disclaimer on his Berry Thin website:

We are not affiliated with Dr. Oz or any other media outlet. Dr. Oz has not endorsed any specific product, only the ingredient itself.

Why would he place this on his website if he was so unaware of the fact that his affiliate marketing friends via his affiliate network (Stealth Media) are illegally using copyrighted media by Dr. Oz to falsely endorse "Berry Thin."

Step 4:  Consumers go to a subpage of TryBerryThin.com and enter in their information.  The reason why a subpage is used is because the "bank page" is the index page that John used to get merchant processing.   Once the merchant account is approved he gets his affiliates to direct traffic to a different webpage hosted on TryBerryThin.com.   In this case it was TryBerryThin.com/index2.php.   The index2.php page hides the terms and considtions of the sale, duping US customers into buying a "free" bottle of Berry Thin.  From there he bills them $89.97 per month without their knowledge or consent.   Classic old bait and switch.

Step 5:   If a consumer does not purchase the product John Monarch's call center, Direct-Outbound.com, will call the consumer up and offer them the "free" bottle purchase.  The call center does not disclose the terms of the sale legally and calls people on the do not call registry.

Also if someone purchases the product Direct Outbound will call them and try to cross-sell them into another free trial scam.   This is an old scam and one that a lot of people got sued by the FTC for.   Funny, it's almost as if this little gnome of a man who clearly has napoleonic disorder thinks that he is above US law.

Step 6:   John Monarch registers dozens of companies and gets more Visa/Mastercard merchant accounts.  Once the charebacks mount up and Visa shuts down his accounts, he goes out and gets more merchant accounts.   And more.   This guy must think he's invincible as he holds speaking engagements about how he breaks US laws and how other people can too.  Can you believe the audacity this little guy has:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAO4LDSwwbs

Step 7:   John Monarch is operating a number different websites that sell free trials in the US for various health products.   I have the full list of these sites and all of the names of the affiliate marketers he uses as co-conspriators to his fraudulant activities.   For now I am going to out only John Monarch, but depending on how agitated I get, I may out everyone involved.

This is getting forwarded to every State AG in the continental United States, the FTC, and the FDA.   John Monarch, you are just waking up into a nightmare that you will never be able to wake up out of.

I believe that exposing your Ripoff Report on the worldwide web was a good idea. A Harvard Business Professor told his class of executives in late 2004 that exposure is a corporation's worst fear. You can type in 269041 at this site and scroll down to the consumer comment entitled "Blame it on a Lawyer" at Ripoff Report #269041 and read more of what the good professor said to his class of executives in late 2004.

Good luck to you, and make sure to expose your Ripoff Report all over the worldwide web at sites like Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and Facebook every day!
