I sent in all the required items to obtain my dvd surround sound home theater system. I sent in my purchase agreement, my bill proving that I have maintained my 6 months of service and I also sent in the stub of the last bill that I paid, along with the form that had to be filled out EXACTLY as is states in the directions. I received a letter today stating that they are not honoring my contract because the form was filled out inproperly.

So, I called them and they stated that I did not put the serial number on the form, which I did EVERYHTHING to the letter and even had my husband double check everything so I would not have to go thru exactly what is happening now. I told the rude customer service rep that I did exactly as the form requested and she said I did not, then I stated that the purchase agreement that I sent them has my serial numbers on it. She again said that doesn't matter now & my offer is "null and void". I told them if they did not honor it that I was taking my business somewhere else and they did not care and gave me the 800 number to disconnect my service. So, I called 1-800-730-4742 and got another Direct Tv company and they asked why I was discontinuing service and so I told them.

They offered me 50.00 to stay and told me there is nothing they can do about the promotional gift because that is done with an independent dealer. So, I switched over today. I also saved 10.00 per month and got free basic cable in 2 rooms and I also save 10.00 on my internet so THANK YOU DIRECT SATELLITE NETWORK FOR SAVING ME ABOUT 20.00 PER MONTH.......

I have just filed complaints with the BBB of Ohio and California and I also did the same with the Attorney General's Office of Ohio and California.
