DIRECT TV OVER CHARGED ME FOR A DISCONNECT THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE GREENWOOD VILLAGE Colorado
I had my mobile home on the market, I wanted to have TV while I was still living there so I contacted Direct TV. I was up front about my home being on the market, the sales rep said no problem we will be glad to install the system for you with an install of $50 and just call when you sell your home.
A couple of months later my home sold, the people wanted to continue the service I was leaving my TV for them. I called DirectTV and told them my home had sold but the people wanted to continue the service, the rep then told me I had to pay $300 for the disconnect and the people would have to pay a new install fee. I am 83 yrs old and don't understand when a company says not to worry about the disconnect fee when I leave that means I won't have to pay anything. How is it that it costs $50 to hook up and $300 to disconnect?
Now this company has found my credit card number and has charged it for $316, how are they able to get away with that when I didn't authorize it. I think this company has gotten out of control and they have no customer service and certainly you can't believe what they say to you.
