Complaint Review: Direct TV

Direct TV ripoff During installation: property damage; waterline on 3-27-04. Promised to return to repair damage. After they did not, I contacted them. I was told that I had to get the damage fixed and send them the bill after I pay for it. Lansing Michigan

Order placed 3/21/04 via 1-888-355-7530. Order ID #9214745
Installed Sat.3/27/04 Worker "Billy" . Property Damage to waterline. Worker returned Sun. 3/28/05 attempted to repair damage, unable to do so. Stated he would contact supervisor to have plumber come in.

Sent a man out to take pictures of damage. he stuffed a sock into hole in pipe waterline; stated "This is only temporary...picture of damage will be turned in so someone can come out and repair damage"

Also contract for 1st time customer was to receive a free DVD. I did not receive a DVD. I contacted consumers protection re: issue. On 9/28/04 DVD Player was delivered via parcel post to me. Damage still remains. I am a retired RN, with limited income. I cannot afford to hire a plumber.
