I bought a Game from direct2drive.com

It was Call of Duty: modern warfare 2 When i tried to install the game, my anti virus found several nasty trojans on the game files.

I remove those viruses from the game. The game comes with lots of errors, the whole ACT III in the game is not playable.

You cant even play the game in Multilayer mode. It shows you an error that your serial number is not unique and it tells you to buy the legit copy of game!

These guys at direct2drive.com AKA ign.com are scammers!

I have send them several emails but no response from them, they dont response to ticket and also they dont have any phone number on their website too

I believe they are selling Cracked version of games.

stay away from them and you will be safe.

Christine shut your mouth you cheap reputation manager...

I got the same exact game as OP has mentioned in february...

Modern Warfare 2

I never played it online but all other things such as Virus and trojan, lots of bug,... and ACT3 not being playable were same and it happens to me too.

So I can guess the CD key was not valid as well and you guys started selling cracked version of game to your buyers to make some extra cash... I paid $39 for a cracked game!

It cost you $0... and ofcourse you didnt paid anything to Activision, because no Liscence and cd key were issued for that game...

This scam might happen by CEO of Direct2Drvie or a cheap a*s employee like you! either way I suggest people to not buy s*** from direct2drive

Unfortunately Direct2Drive did not sell you "Call of Duty: modern warfare 2" in February 2010.  Direct2Drive did not start selling that game until July 2010.  You are reviewing the wrong retailer.  We could not have sold you that game in Feb.

Direct2Drive.com is owned by IGN Entertainment, Inc.  We sell only legal retail games under contract with game publishers.  We cannot and do not sell any illegal material on our site.

Our Customer Service is online 24/7 on http://support.direct2drive.com and if you did not see our replies by email, please login to support and view your support requests online.  Not only do we respond in 24-48 hours, if we have not heard back from you in 48 hours we respond again asking if you need more help.

For help playing your game such as you described in "ACT III" you need to go to Activision support.  They provide support to issues inside the game.
