DirectBuy Bait-and-switch, High pressure sales pitch, Ignored requests to rescind my membership, Long Beach California
DirectBuy uses high-pressure tactics to have you sign their contract, which once signed is impossible to rescind or cancel. I joined almost two years ago and have not purchased a thing from them because everything is very pricey and they don't have a good selection. You can get better deals in the regular retail stores because at least you can see what you are buying and most of the time you don't have to pay shipping and handling fees which eat up any small savings you think you are getting. I learned the hard way that these people have no conscience and will rip-off anyone who is foolish enough to sign their contract. Do not join DirectBuy!!

You could try taking them to small claims court, odds are they would not show up and you would win by difault.
and if you do get that far, be sure to get some of the local media involved to expose their scam operation.
