no matter how desperate for a job you are please dont answer the add for direct tv installers like i did first thing you show up theres 60 people at the interview and everyone has a job that should be the first red flag! i started training everything seemed normal even though they give you $8 per hour for training.

i get out on my own it all starts you dont get paid by the hour no more its by the job you have to wake up at the a*s crack of dawn to aknowledge your jobs with dispatch your given sometimes 10 installs a day to do wich i was ok with it was more money for me until i realized all the jobs where half an hour apart and im not getting paid for 5 hours of my time

use your own cell phone for business calls, call when u arrive, closeout the job you use well over 2,000 minutes a month with them i was never issued a gas card for the van at first they told me to gas the van up on my own and i would see it in my first paycheck i was ok with that until i used $601 in gas did i ever see that money back no way!

you are treated like a piece of crap by the manager and supervisors telling you all the time how replaceable you are at any second calling you at 10 pm on your way home to pick up 2 more jobs or you can take a week off without pay of you want to complain

my last week there i hustled working over 100 hours and my 21st day straight without a day off i was happy i just earned $3,166 i get my paycheck $690.12
i immeadately go to the manager of the nashua office says its all in the system and to call closeout in india and tried talking to someone who can barely talk english i go over his head to his boss says its out of his hands its all in the computer system i asked what was the point of having a H.R office he hung up on me real professional.

so i quit gave thier van back notified the labor board and had a lawyer call wich cost me $250 6 months later i get 2 checks one for the gas i used and one for my back pay but they where dated so far back the checks where voided after 90 days they where postmarked 2 days after the checks expired so i paid another $250 for the lawyer to call and heard nothing as of yet

Directech NE this is why your joke of a company id a revolving door

Thanks Chris

This is a Common RIP-OFF that Austin,Texas employers use too!

This is becoming a way of life for these bottom feeder employers.

Whenever you have too many people and too few jobs, THIS is what happens.

People are ripped off, disrespected and their basic human rights are IGNORED.

Used to be that if people wanted a job and were willing to work, they would be able to keep and hold a job.

You did the right thing to report these creeps to RIP OFF REPORT but you need to take it a step further.

YOU NEED TO REPORT THEM TO THE FEDERAL WAGES AND HOUR people otherwise known as the Labor Board. I think that your State employment commission can tell you how to contact them.

Sounds like to me you didn't get your restroom breaks, etc. that you are entitled to under OSHA.

Did you have access to potable drinking water where you were working? That means water that was fit to drink.

Did you have access to a First Aid kit?

Did you have the opportunity to use the restroom when you needed to?

If the answer is no, then you can report these guys to OSHA.

I guess these guys are so used to outsourcing tech jobs on the race to the bottom to countries where there are too many people and too few rights, that they figure they can abuse Americans like the Third Worlders too.

SO REPORT THEM!

Respond to this Report!
