lets see, the beginning of the end....

starded for what was then directech (before they sold out to multiband due to basically an overall lack of common sense.) back in october of 06'. immediate red flags...first off...theres 30 people there, all of which get hired (turnover anyone). then im asked, when the time has come to get our vans, to drive to new jersey to pick in up myself...neat eh...nothing like being stuck in nyc traffic on the way down on halloween...which by the way i have (at that time a 6 y/o) that i cant take trick or treating cause "its not the companies problem"
on the tolls on the way back i was instructed by the ops manager, who at that time was adam mosher (who was later forced to resign because of various inappropriate acts at the workplace) who im guessing is supposed to be responsible, moral, trustworthy...basically a good human being(which he wasnt any of those things) to run the tolls on the new jersey tpk. all well and good for him but the nj state [police werent impressed...i had to pay the ticket by the way, which also incuded not having a plate on the van because they didnt want to pay for it.

i then begin a year long oddessy of being treated like crap, not being paid properly, and basically being told that me and my family can go to hell if there was ever a family emergency that may conflict with their precious customers (which they also treated like crap).
i wound up leaving after a year since i could no longer deal with such ridiculousness.

i went back shortly thereafter due to a crappy job market and 4 months into that stint (after the usual treatment) i was hit by another driver causing injury and was accused by mr. mosher and directech hr that i was filing a false claim and i would be well advised to drop it. i didnt and when they went through my van when i was out injured, they found a single beer cap in my van, inside a bag of trash i was throwing out and determined in their boundless wisdom that i was drinking in the van which was not true but it got them off the hook for the injury claim.

meanwhikle, behind closed doors..directech is selling out to multiband due to the massive amount of circus antics and the inabilty to properly run a shop. after that i came back as a private contractor thinking i wouldnt have to deal with anymore nonsense.
WRONGO!

now they have a new ops manager, rasvan tomsa, who cant speak english, cant answer questions, tries the age old tactic of threatening his employees to do his bidding, and by the way came from the avon, mass office which was closed down because they couldnt even keep their building grounds clean and presentable. between he and his ballwasher, matt fox, they regularly make life miserable for everyone else. they encourage employees to assist directv in illegal acts such as the phone line scam. techs are told to hook up every phone line and are only told "because you have to" when actually the phoneline is used to illegally transmit cust. info to companies who violate the do not call act (which is a federal law meatheads!).

as a contractor i buy my own materials, but then the cable i use (especially for 2nd dvr lines) is stolen (basically) by directv who does not may me for the who knows how many 2nd lines ive run. and if i dont run the sencond line, more mature threats by the ballwasher mr. fox...who usually never leaves his house and plays guitar hero all day.

i am usually required to use my own phone throughout all of this, get routed on my day off and then get backcharged when, obviously, i dont show up at the jobs.
i could go on and on and i know the net is a big place but i dont think even the net could hold all the dumb things directv and its companies have done.
now, granted, dish network isnt much better as ive worked for them too, but cmon...this is ridiculous. no wonder customers get all pissed off, no wonder why employees get pissed off....no wonder why were all in the shape were in because of gay antics like this.

long story short, i know theres no jobs out there people, but unless you like getting bent over more than a porn star, id stay far away.

It sounds like this company likes to rip employees off as well as customers. I know someone that works for the company as an installer. There have been many many problems with this company. I would like to know though...do you get paid by the job or by the hour? Have not been able to figure this one out yet. It seems to me that you get paid by the job. BUT they are watching hours to make sure that you don't have any overtime. What is the point in clocking in and out for the day if you don't get paid any hourly wage? Can you help me figure this out?

Inventory issues have been another issue. Supply order is sent in each week....a few days prior to inventory day. I check the supply list after they "fill" it, and the number of items that I have ordered has been changed, they remove items from the list, and a lot of times don't get my inventory at all.

Many issues to deal with. So many unanswered questions. One of the most important questions is...How does Directech, Multiband (or whoever they are), get away with all of this? Who is protecting them?
