I went to the following site. http://investor.directv.com/events.cfm. This is DirectTVs investor site. OMG! Just look at all of the "Conferences" that they have sponsored by the mega banks. This is where our bailout money went. Since they are so tied in with the banks, we now have an explanation as to why they get away with draining so many accounts. A look at their corporate structure shows people affiliated with Verizon, Citibank, Freddie Mac and others. Everyone needs to expose this sham. I suggest that people do the following.

1. Attend and protest at one of these events whenever possible. I realize that this is difficult after they steal all of your money, but we need to try.

2. Contact their shareholders personally, at home if necessary and register your displeasure at the companies practices. Also point out that they will lose money if the company is torn apart by lawsuits.

3. Contact your local DirectTV distributors and register your displeasure. Encourage them to quit dealing with such a dishonorable company. Point out that small businesses rely on a good reputation locally.

4. Make several calls to their sales line. these are the people that they put on the front line. If they get tired of hearing it, they may want to work for a better company.

5. Inundate Ellen Filipiak with calls at 310.535.5001. Let her bear the stress that the companies victims have had to bear.

6. Badger your local prosecutor, attorney General and banking commission with complaints. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

7. File suits in small claims court. This costs DirectTV several hundred at the least to have a lawyer appear for them. The courts may get tired of their scams and provide relief.

8. Contact any of your neighbors who have DirecttV and share your experience with them. Urge them to cancel, and change their debit card number so they wont be robbed.

9. Set your dish in a prominent place along with a poster explaining what they did to you.

10. Publish on the internet, your local paper or any other media what happened to you and warn others to stay away from them. Also provide contact information regarding the kingpins in the cartel.

And most importantly BAND TOGETHER! How will the company look with 5000 people picketing their headquarters or stockholders meeting? I can be reached at sameeker@hotmail.com. Put "directtv scam" in the subject line so I know it is not spam.

I GOT MY MONEY BACK

#2Author of original report

Mon, April 18, 2011

I contacted my bank about Directv draining my account without my permission. I was told that there was nothing that they could do. Since my bank has the word "national" in the name, the Office of the Comptroller of Currency has jurisdiction over them. I filed a complaint with them as well as with VISA for an unauthorized charge. Once the OCC was watching, I got my money back after about 90 days.
