DirecTV Corporate is uncontactable despite their PR Los Angeles, Internet
DireCT masquerades as an 'in touch' customer service based organisation that can never be contacted past the basic eight levels of automated telephony manned by minimum wage employees who do not have the authority to do any more than use words like 'escalate'.
As a former broadcast professional I have spent several weeks attemting to contact their presentation department as a result of watching the very contrived show Undercpver Boss, which I now realise is just another promotion.
Michael White the CEO launched his mediocre acting career on Undercover Boss by having us velieve he was 'sensitive' and 'concerned' about his employees and the difficulties they face after the bean counters have reduced their level of service to that which few people wish to buy which makes the corporations nailing clients to two year contracts understandable.
The big 'Digita' selling point will be the first disappointment as most of the shows are not in digital - and look like it! When they offer sporting shows from overseas there is no lead in our outro as THERE IS NO PRESENTATION DEPARTMENT!! All efforts to contact them professionaly have been thwaeted by e-mails from daceless people with unpronouncable names. If you do get a response it is from someone who has little to do with the department you are seeking to contact who sends you a cupt and paste of some genric 'read me' notes that make no sense.
Despite what the Chief Executive says this corporation has cut the costs, overheads and skilled employees until they have a very profitable corporation (which seems to be the American way of conducting business).
If you need to subscribe for TV service, go for a company that offers real service like Cxx Communications or Bxxxx Hxxxx. (((REDACTED))) Because if you are unhappy and want to contact DirecTV's 'so approachable' executives, you will be unhappy, rejected AND lonely!
