Directv Directv lied about DVR boxes and then forced me to pay for them Santa monica Nationwide
Order directv premium package 24 month package, told them I would need to hook up 3 TVs with full home DVR. quote said boxes would be free. install tech came to install service, I didn't have all 3 tv at home so I told him i would move the one tv I had around to install the 2 mini genie boxes since the other tv will come in 3-4 weeks. He says no problem we will just come out again to install them at no charge when You that've the TVs he takes the boxes and leaves.
3 weeks pass and I now have the tvs so I call to schedule install of my 2 remaining boxes, I get told that more than 14 days have passed and I will have to pay 198 dollar for the boxes and 24 dollar extra a month for additional box service. I tell them that the tech told me to call and it wouldn't be a problem, they say sorry but this is a policy, I ask them where in my contract does it tell me this? They said it doesn't, it's just their policy. I told then if I knew this I would have made sure to make the tech install all the boxes with one tv! I argue with them for an hour to no avail, finally i ask them to just cancel my account and ill drop the boxes off. They say your breaking you contract to you will have to pay 450$. I tell them they are the once breaking the contract since I have a PO with 3 DVR boxes on it. St hey say I will have to either just keep my one boxor pay the extra 200$ or wait 24 moths for a free upgrade.
this company has no customer service, they will lie rand cheat as much as they can to take your money. Stay away at all costs!
