Complaint Review: DIRECTV

I was offered a free DVD player with sign up. I was told to include the form they would send me with my first payment. I waited to send in my first payment until I actually received my second months bill. When I called many times, I was told many things, including that I should get my form from Best Buy, who had no idea what I was talking about.
I am very unhappy, and feel that I have been purposely misled and have, by DirecTV's design, been cheated out of this item.
At this point, I am less concerned with receiving the DVD player than with allowing them to get away with this lie.
