DirecTV. I never recieved my free AOL package. Los Angeles, California
The sytem was installed on 5/15/01. I ordered a package which included free AOL for one year. I was told that I would recieve information from DTV that I would fill out and then send to AOL. After one month I called to ask about where it was and was told it had been sent, but they would send it out again.
This continued on for the past year. I would wait a couple of months (rep told me to wait up to 3) and call back. 4 times I was told the information had been sent out again. Keep in mind I got a bill EVERY MONTH, they can get that there just fine.
Finally, I was told yesterday that this offer had to be turned in by July 01 and they could do nothing about it. The only reason I chose the more expensive movie package was because the free AOL would offset the extra cost. In the end I am out 200 bucks for AOL this year and DTV doesn't give a rats a*s. As soon as the funds allow I will be calling the Cable company.
