Customer Service Reps out of control, OBNOXIOUS, Hang Up on us. CSRs refusal to accept return of "upgraded" (a sick joke)VASTLY INFERIOR DirecTV PLUS DVR system. We were promised a TiVo-based 70 hour system and they delivered this piece of junk DVR. Now they say LIKE IT OR LUMP IT: PAY UP or do without their services.

DISCONNECTED ALL OF OUR SERVICES 2/22/2005

Via e-mail DirecTV CSRs repeatly promise to return phone calls: No return calls

Have gone to Better Business Bureau, only to find they are FLOODED with similar complaints. Filed a complaint at BBB.

This company needs to be punished for their irresponsible bad behavior and failure to adequately supervise their Customer DIS-Service Department personnel.

With one exception, when you order new equipment from Directv, they cannot promise you a specific make or model of equipment.

The only way you can be sure of getting a "Tivo-based" digital video recorder is to purchase it yourself.

The exception at this time is an HD-DVR. They can promise a Tivo-based dvr, model number HR10-250 at this time. The reason for this is that this is the only HD DVR currently being distributed for use with Directv systems.
