So Direct TV hasn't bent over an inch regarding the Pac 12 Network, right? They've refused to compromise with the Pac 12 Network in order to provide services to millions of sports fans in at least a 12 state region.

There's a full page ad in today's Eugene Register Guard (11/13/12).. with the headline:
Game Time is All the Time.. but Charter and DirecTV have you on the sidelines.

The ad goes on to say: Don't Miss another Second of Oregon and Oregon State Sports
Available on: Ashland Home Net/Beavercreek Telephone Company/Bend Broadband/Coltontel/Comcast/Crestview/Dish/Fios by Frontier/Minet/Monroe/Reliance Cable/Scio Cablevision/Wave Broadband

I can't tell you how upset & angry I am with Directv for holding back from their millions of customers.. for money, money, money. They seem to care nothing about their loyal customers. Millions of fans living in the Pac 12 area (and beyond).. don't get to watch football games (Univ. Oregon being ranked #1 in the nation with AP, ESPN & USA) and Oregon State ranked #15. There are 6 Pac-12 teams in the top ranked 25!!! AND  now the basketball games can't be seen... because of stubborn and selfish Directv. I do believe karma will spoil 'their game' eventually.

All the above carriers care more about their customers than big-whopping Directv and I will continue to bad-mouth Directv anywhere I can. I will go now and submit anywhere & everywhere -  a complaint regarding selfish and money-hungry Directv... until they give in and compromise with the  Pac 12 Network and give us the programming we loyal customers want & deserve.

It's about money alright. Everytime the satellite (or cable) providers have to pay more for programs, they have to raise their rates to their customers. Then each time, a large number of those customers disconnect, and it is costly to find new customers

I was not happy when dish failed to reach agreements with providers too, but appreciate the effort to try to contain costs....that's what it all comes down to.  I've dropped some channels to save money. No, I DON'T work for either company. The satellite and cable companies have come to realize that this can't continue endlessly.
