Directv They are getting me VERY ANGRY El Segundo California
Basically as of now, they will not refund the $311 that they took out of my account without authorization. We have been DirecTv customers for over 10 years...that means nothing. I think they train their customer service people to not care, I have spoken to about 35 people and I cannot believe that they can all be that stupid - it's on purpose.
4/17 - I called to ask why I was being charged $9.99 a month for HD channels that I cannot get. They told me I needed an upgrade to the 4MB receiver and it would be "free" to "make-up" for charging me for a service I could not receive.
5/3 - I scheduled the upgrade and was told I would be charged $19.95 for shipping only, installation was scheduled for 5/4.
5/4 - The technician showed up at our old address in Illinois. I called DirecTv, confirmed the address change (from 6 years before), rescheduled for 5/5.
5/5 - The technician showed up at our old address in Illinois. I called Directv, they said they rescheduled and a technician would call when the got the receiver.
5/13 - I called DirectV, they said the call of 5/5 cancelled the order. It was reschedled for 5/15.
5/14 - I checked my account online after noticing that they deducted $231 from my debit account for the service. I called Directv and cancelled the installation since it was supposed to be $19.95. They told me the credit would be issued in 7-8 days.
5/17 - I cancelled the service, this was bugging me way too much and I didn't see the credit issued in my bank account.
5/19 - They charged me installation again. And they charged me $21.15 for a credit card refund that I didn't get.
5/20 - They said it would take 7-8 days to get my refund.
6/9 - No refund issued still - they said it would take 7-8 days to escalate and 3 days beyond that to get my refund.
I'm thinking I'm not going to get a refund. The $331 that they owe me is for the cancelled installation and mid-month fees for service.
