Direcway ripoff, My service is proof that all this is definitely FALSE ADVERTISING! Germantown Maryland

My Direcway internet service has never been all that much faster than regular dial-up. I am constantly experiencing lost connections. And to top it all off, I am limited to downloading only a certain amount of data according to their "Fair Access Policy".

This system was and still is being advertised as "always on", "unlimited use and access", "faster than dial-up", to name just a few things. My service is proof that all this is definitely FALSE ADVERTISING!

As for their Fair Access Policy, I found out only after a very long, tedious, and nerve racking tech support call that I am limited to downloading about 160 MBs of data within a four-hour period. Then my service is completely cut off, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. And their reply to this was "we will turn it back on in 8 to 12 hours, whenever we feel like it".

I am in the computer support business and I am contantly downloading drivers, updates, upgrades, etc. in order to fix my clients' computers. When I promise a client that his or her computer will be finished at a certain time, I do my very best to keep that promise. Because of Direcway, I have actually lost business. Luckily, though, I have found a way to somewhat level the playing field. I have persuaded at least 8 to 10 potential Direcway customers from buying into their lies and false advertising. No, it has not put any money in pocket doing this, but the satisfaction of getting a little revenge is worth it.

I am definitely not going to continue to subscribe to Direcway once my contract expires. My cost for this fiasco is approximately $650 in equipment costs and another $650 in service costs (over a year's time). I would be happy if they would just refund all of my money and come get their junk out of my house and yard.

I can't believe DirecTV would claim to be related to Direcway. I have thoroughly enjoyed my DirecTV service for several years and never have had any "real" problems with it, I wish I could say that about Direcway, but it would be a lie.

I "dare" direcway to contact me about a refund. They can lookup my contact info under site ID XXXXXXXX. I am waiting for their call and, as usual, a web site to load.
