I ordered a direcway two way system in July of 2002. I got a joker for an installer and finally finished the installation in September, even though I had the dish in place and had ran all the cable. In fact the first moron informed me they had sent a bad modem but it actually worked fine and I am still using it. One problem is the upload speed on the satelitte is a blazing 14 to 20 K. I should have stayed with the one way system. I still need the phone line because I am using Juno as much as Direcway.

Rain, which we have an abundance here in northern California, knocks out the reception of the satelitte. So a backup is a must.

Second and major problem is the so called fair access policy, if you download more than 169 MB in a four hour period, you are abusing the system. Direcway thens reduces your speed to the 25 to 35 K range. Fellows 169MB is approximately 10 minutes of streaming video at 200k. I cannot understand how they can charge $70.00 a month for unlimited access, then limit your downloads.

In effect, my access is limited to high speed downloads to approximately 10 hours a month. Yes, the policy was in effect when I signed on. I just did not realize it was so restrictive.
