Disabled American Veterans DAV Thrift Store Manager has been ripping off store for years Oceanside California
This complaint is not against the DAV, but of a private Store that uses their name to collect donations and gives a small percentage for that right. The manager and employees are not members of the DAV.
I have been shoping at the store for almost 20 years. I am in the collectible business and used to shop the store twice a day, morning and late afternoon. I noticed a few years back that nothing good was coming, out so I started watching and asking questions of the employees.
I saw good items being taken out of the store and being placed into an old van parked near the back of the store and I noticed good items being placed under sorting tables in the work room.
Employees both current and former told me that the Manager, Gail was taking the best items and was wharehousing them for her retirement and she
was moving some of the items trough family members out of state.
As a recent disabled Veteran myself, I got tried of the way we have been treated and the way this Store advertises about helping Veterans but in Reality their employees are ripping us off.
I went from shopping at the store from twice a Day to maybe once every2 months. Another Store in the Area AM-Vets is very honest.
This problem with this manager and the store is common knowledge within the Collectible trade

Great News. I heard that the upper management went in a cleaned house.
The Manager and many employees were fired.
Thanks Ripoff report.
