Person with semi-good semi-broken english called and asked about my cable services, what I have, how much I pay, etc. He then began discussing what dish has to offer me inclduing internet, which i have researched previously and know I can't get it here. Don't want it anyways. I told him I wasn't interested and started to say goodbye, trying to be nice.

He stopped me and said he wanted to make sure that I knew when the digital transition happens that I will have to pay hundreds of dollars for equipment if I stay with cable instead of dish. Again, I've researched it extensively so I told him he was wrong and started to hang up. This time, I stopped him and accused him of hanging up because I didn't believe his lies.

He defended his story and I told him he either had been lied to in his training and believed what he was telling me or that he was intentionally lieing to me. He stood his ground on the story and started becoming angry and loud, who knows he might actually believe it. Either way, I got his company name and number (which showed up as unkown called on my ID) and told him he'd be getting a call from the better businees bureau for misleading business practices and because I am on the DNC list.

Don't be fooled, call you cable company, make sure you are covered (most if not all are) and get it writing.
