Discount Garage Door Service dishonest billing false diagnosis Atlanta Florida
Found full page add in YP type book...said "Discount" garage door service. Showed pictures of vans, lowest prices guaranteed, Rated #1, Licensed, Bonded, Insured, etc...
Only problem was it needed new cable, as one had basically stretched/frayed. Technician in a privately owned vehicle (not van as shown in ad) said this counted as door off track, but I said no way...the door is fine and on the track. He insisted that is what they call this problem and final bill (for less than 30 minutes of time) was $392.34 (he replaced both cables). He also let his small son play in my garage while he was fixing the door (OSHA?). I feel I was overcharged by almost 50% and the "door off track" was the scam he used to add an additional $249 to the bill.
