Complaint Review: Discover Card

Discover Card is charging my card 12.99 every month for a protection service that I refused over and over Ripoff Wilmington Delaware Nationwide

I received a call from Discover by some Indian telemarketer that could barely speak English (like AOL when you call and cancel and don't honor it). He offered me a protection service that I already have, which is called Protection PPD, formerly called AccountGuard. I am already paying $8.00/month for that. I see already that they have billed me 12.99 for this Identity Theft Protection that I had refused over the phone with this person, and they are calling to "offer" it again? So I have already been charged before they even asked!

I am seriously thinking about paying off the stupid $1000.00 credit limit with Discover to save my credit and canceling my policy with them because I do not like corrupt and shady business like this!

Your report doesn't mention any action you have taken to combat this. First and foremost, contact Customer Service and request to dispute the transaction as you didn't sign up for it. They will be happy to issue you a credit and cancel the service while they request a recording of your agreement to enroll from the telemarketing agency that signed you up, if the agency is unable to produce the proof you will be issued a full credit, if they do have you on tape agreeing to the enrollment or if no recording can be found and you have paid for the service an extensive period of time, say more than 6 months only a prorated credit will be given.
