I was a dishnetwork customer for 1 year. After I find out they no longer were offering amc channel I canceled. Now they are charging me to return the equipment. When I downgraded my service to 2 receivers instead of 3 they did not charge me a return fee. Now that I canceled it is 17 bucks per a receiver. They are one of the shaddiest cable providers ever. The 3rd receiver I had leased from them had a non refundable 100 dollar deposit that was not stated in the contract. On top of that they charge me 10 bucks a month just to lease the receiver. I will never go back to them ever again. This has to be my worst experience with any cable provider. Go (((competitor's name redacted))) their services are by far way superior and the user experience is lot better.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. I have my contract infront of me and it says if you cancel your services, you will pay 17 dollars a box and price is subject to change. You really should read contracts a little more carefully, even your cell phone contract as you'd be surprised on what you'd find in them.

I apologize for your frustrations with the DISH services. When you cancel your account, we do send out boxes and shipping labels. If you choose to use our labels, it is $17 per label. You can of course, choose any shipping method of your choice. Whether you purchase or lease a receiver, if you have more than one in your home, there is a monthly equipment fee. Depending on your eligibility when you upgrade your receiver, there may or may not be a charge to do so. I would be happy to review your account. Please send me an email at becki.barned@dish.com.
