DISH NETWORK DISH NETWORK-LIE ABOUT PRICE THEN CHARGE WHAT THEY WANT , Internet
Our contract was to expire in December 2010 and I was going to switch to DirecTV. When I called to cancel,Eric, operator Id AMT, said he would upgrade my 2 receivers to HD for FREE. He repeatedly assured me there would be no charge for this about 4-5 times actually, and that my monthly bill would NOT increase. So he lied to get me to sign on again for 2 years, then turned around and charged me $200+ for upgrade fees, and took my bill from $45-$80/month! I repeatedly called to have this addressed, but the dish network people refused to go listen to the recorded call. I ended up cancelling and they tried to charge me a cancellation fee!
Why do you bother recording calls if yourefuse go back to listen to them? He LIED to retain my business, then lied in his notes. All you had to do to get the truth was go pull the phone call, but none of you would. Do you train your employees to do this? It appears that you do because in the notes apparently two people typed that they'd told me about the cost and that is a flat out lie. Again, go listen to the recorded calls!!!
This is not a way to treat customers and I will be SURE to spread the word.

Hello my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network customer service. And I want to start off by saying I am truly sorry that you had a bad customer experience with us. I do see that you wanted an HD upgrade and there were fees that were added, I would be more than happy to go over this with you about the fees and what your order was to entail.
Thank you Mike Houston
