Complaint Review: Dish TV - Dish TV Now

Dish Network - Dish TV Now ripoff - Sell their product for a certain amount then after you sign they say you don't qualify for that program. Littleton Colorado

The package I was sold was for 3TV's 80 plus channels at 19.99 per month for a full year with no other charges. I received a bill for additional charges that even though I asked about them I was told there was no other charges by two different sales people.

I contacted Charles (800-548-1910x1941) at Dish TV on 5/31/2005 he told me the package available for 3 TV's was $19.95/mo for three months then it went to $37.00 for 85 channels no other fees where involved except for taxes. After talking with my husband I called back and talk to another Representative of Dish network. She told me that she could offer the latest deal of 19.99/ month for the full year, also no other fees involved. When I received my first fill bill I was shocked to find charges for a home receiver and Dish Home Protection. When I called Dish Network on 8/12/2005 and talked with Sidney BRG at 800-535-1929 she told me that the 19.99 was only for three months and that the full year offer was for NY only. She told me that the other charges are standard and I asked why I was not told this before signing up when I asked specifically if there were any other charges. She could not answer me and then she told me that I needed to get in touch with the agent.

I was not aware that I spoke with an agent because the pick up the phone Dish Network and go into a short sales line. I then talked to Thomas at 800-799-7175 he was unable to help me and forwarded me to a Supervisor to call me back. When I did not receive a call back within the week I called 800-799-7175 and asked to speak to a supervisor. I talked to Chris, Joe Pestro and Misty Sabastin no one could help me. I was told another Supervisor would call me. I am still waiting. On 9/9 I contacted both 800 # that I had as contact information and Dish TV Now Representative hung up on me when I asked for their address.

I then started my letter writing and e-mail campaign to both companies.

Finally in November I received a call from Chris Demitrol of Dish TV Now. He agreed to send me a check for $106 the difference between the agreed amount and what I was being billed except for the home receiver. I wasn't happy with this but I thought I should just take it. However, I still have not received this check. So I called again. Chris tells me that he can't send me the check because Dish TV Now is no longer affiliated with Dish TV. He suggested I write more letters and gave me the names of two men who where vice presidents of the company. Dish TV has yet to contact me about any of the problems I have emcounted and Dish TV Now is now saying they can't help me.
