I have had continual issues with the 722k HD RECEIVER/DVR. First installed in May 2009, four receiver exchanges, four service calls - no resolution of the picture stability problems that have been present since the day of installation and my obligation to remain a customer for two-years. The contract seems to protect Dish Network by making it impossible for customers to cancel service - no matter the severity or duration of unresolved problems.

I have repeatedly been told that there are no known issues with their 722k receiver/DVR. However, a tour of various internet electronic sites )AV Science Forum / AV Forum and others) reveals many individuals across the country who have complaints, mostly unresolved, about video quality, DVR function (or lack of same), audio issues (many) and other equally as disturbing issues which Dish Network either says are not common or simply deny.

Monthly billing does not stop and now notification of a price increase has been given; not effective on the contract date, but IMMEDIATELY. Changes made by me carry a penalty if not covered under their "Dishing it Up" program. It does not seem to matter if these changes result in an 'upgrade or down-grade' of service. Any change, not done after the anniversary date results in a fee of some sort.

Excuse abound - resolutions never come (unlike the above-mentioned BILL). The staff in Albuquerque appear to have a very well rehearsed script they follow, never deviating from their proclamation that, "...I have or we have never seen such an issue before..."  They appear to be experts at skirting issues and blaming outside sources such as, Mother Nature, customers electrical service to their home, televisions and the like.
