About a month ago I upgraded my receiver and the installer left me with boxes to mail back my old receivers. I mailed them back the following day and received confirmation that the boxes were received by Dish.

On July 13, Dish debited $325 from my checking account - with NO notice - for equipment. When I called they admitted that they had the receivers and that it was a technical error on their part. I asked for an immediate refund and was told that it would be expedited.
It has now been 12 business days and I have not received any refund. I have called them 4 different times and been lied to by 6 different "customer service" agents regarding the status of the refund.

I have never been more frustrated with a company in that it is practically impossible to speak to anyone who has any power at all. I even sent emails and talked to the Executive offices, who have all lied to me as well. They simply refuse to give me my money back.

Dish Network engages in fraudulant business practices and I would strongly encourage people to not sign up for their services.

and you people are convincing me to NOT EVER get satellite OR cable TV!

Shame!

But I was never much for watching TV anyway.... except for watching select DVD's (and VCR tapes).
