We have had Dish Network for at least 10 years or more and since late winter and spring of 2008, the engineering person (Kip Wilcoxin)who is responsible for the formats of the shows on the local Network affiliates and possibly more channels, has made all the shows zoomed to fill the full screen, even though many of the shows are supposed to be Widescreen/LBX format. Because of this we miss many of the side action on the shows, and even cuts off names of credits and or certain peoples names who are talking about a subject in documentaries or other info type shows.

One example was on PBS where it was letter-boxed but not the correct ratio, so it cutoff half of the names and also the action on the right and left sides.

Kip apparently either doesnt care or he gets to feel powerful by screwing up our viewing. He was told last year and never fixed it.

I figure were owed money back for not being able to see the whole picture that was produced for these shows. But most of all, wed like the formats fixed to what they are supposed to be.

Another problem is the listings they use for the shows. They are often wrong or not complete. Dish uses Tribune Media Services for these listings and Tribune doesnt keep up with changes very often.

If other people are tired of this, please complain as well, and hope the FTC and FCC will take action to make Dish fix this.
