DishNetwork is the worst company I have ever encountered.  I agreed to 12 months of service and when the 12 months was up, I called to cancel the service due to poor service issues and deceptive marketing.  You do not get what you pay for and they do not tell about extra charges.  $24.99 turned into $62.02 a month.  When I called to cancel they tried to tell me I signed a contract for 24 months and I requested a copy of a contract with my signature 3 times and they have yet to produce one.

I was then told they would charge me an "Activation Fee of $99.99 to cancel in the event the contract was not valid".  How do you charge an activation fee to deactivate a service that is not valid?  Or to pay them $15.00 a month for the remaining 12 months.

I told them to stop debiting my account immediately.  They stopped the monthly debit and still sent me no documentation whatsoever with my signature on a 2 year contract.  A week ago they sent me boxes to return the equipment that they brought to me, installed and set up.  I told them to come get the equipment since they brought it.  Of course they would not.  So I have boxed and shipped it to them only to find that they debited my bank account $450.00 without my consent or knowledge for the equipment.

I contacted them again and they stated that was in my contract which I do not have and that they still cannot provide or even describe what their contract looks like.  I was told the money would be returned when the equipment arrived.

I told them what they did is fraud and illegal and the girl told me she understood but they have a policy.  Do not ever do business with a company like this one.  I am going to contact an attorney and sue them for fraud.  They should not be allowed to be in business.

Hello, my name is Michael Hurst. I work for DISH Network Customer Service. I apologize for the bad experience that you have had. DISH Network gives two options that are available when signing up, the first option would be 24 month commitment no activation fee, the second option is no commitment and payment of $99.00 full price for programming. I would really like to help you with the issues that you have had. I would have to research your account in order to understand what is going on. If you would like contract me at Michael.hurst@dishnetwork.com so we can work together and correct the account.
