I had a problem with Dish Network. They never disclosed to me that if you don't have a landline in your house (since an increasing number of Americans, like me, rely on cell phones only), they will charge you an extra $5 monthly "programming fee". Complete BS! And it was NEVER disclosed to me, even though upon signing up for the service I EXPRESSLY asked for a list of monthly charges, to the cent! Nobody ever said anything about an extra $5 because I no longer rely on old-fashioned landline telephone service.

Getting no resolution from three different people at Dish Network's "Customer No Service", I found out that Echostar (Dish's parent company) has an "executive customer service" number at EchoStar Headquarters, available to anyone smart enough to figure out it exist. These customer service people at headquarters have MUCH more authority to resolve problems than the lowly agents you'll get if you call the 1-800 number on your bill. So, my advice: don't waste yout time. Go right to the top. You have a better chance at getting your problem resolved. In my case, I had the $5 fee waived for the remaining 15 months of my 18-month contract...something that the first few CS agents I spoke with were not authorized to do.
