Dish Network should be called Dish Don't Work!!! *Consumer Suggestion
In August we signed up for dish net from Conrads TVin the town where we live. From the very first day we couldnt get any programs for more than 15 minutes. we called the owner of Conrads TV, he came out to see what was going on, Our dish strength was at 98% no problem their. He changed the lnb still the same problem.
He then came back with an old receiver and took our new receiver to get it fixed, and that we would have it back in a week. Well same thing no programing. When I called Conrads TV to ask about our receiver I was told it wasnt back yet.
In the mean time I had contacted Dish network to let them know we had no programing, and that we had no receiver. At this time we had already paid for 3 months of programing, that we didnt even have. I filed a complaint with dish net about Conrads TV. Dish Network told me they would put my contract with them on hold until I received a new receiver and then we would start the contract from their.
Well I just receiver the supposta be new receiver on 12/13/01. I called Dish Network to my programing turned on. Well I was informed by Dish Network that in order to have my programing turned on I'd have to pay 240.00, because the sent my account to collections for non payment.
Hello!! I dont think so!!! Im not paying for this and I dont want the Dish network! Dish Network wants us to pay for a 1 year contract.
What Contract they cant even keep up their end of the deal. I do beleave its called breech of contract on Dish Networks part! I would'nt get dish network now even if they gave it to me FREE!!!

Let me try to explain to you what was explained to me when I have had problems. You bought your receiver from an independent dealer of dish network product. So dish network really in that department does not have to help you but you should of had an warranty and the company you purchased your system from should honor that you should go after the company for your programming bill since they are the ones that screwed you to begin with. Here are three e-mail adresses to dish network they can
help you if you explain it to them that is how I got help.
